Design and implement scalable pipelines for telemetry, logs, sensor data, and cloud-software ingestion and processing.
Develop and maintain robot-side data ingestion agents for high-volume collection in low-connectivity environments.
Develop data formats and protocols optimized for transmitting, storing, and querying recordings, sensor data, and telemetry.
Build and maintain observability systems using Fluent Bit, OpenTelemetry, and related tools for real-time fleet monitoring and analytics.
Prepare high-volume, high-velocity data for analysis using Spark, Kafka, or equivalent technologies.
Build and optimize internal tools for business intelligence, long-horizon fleet analytics, and forecasting using AWS S3, Athena, SageMaker, and related services.
Improve data collection and processing from robot sensors and edge devices through IoT integration.
Requirements
At least 5 years of experience building and scaling cloud-based data platforms.
Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure and proficiency with big-data frameworks such as Spark, Kafka, Beam, or Flink.
Experience with Parquet, Arrow, Iceberg, Avro, Protobuf, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, metrics, tracing, and logging systems.
Proficiency in Java, Scala, or Python and a strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architectures.
Robotics, autonomous vehicle, sensor-heavy workload, IoT, edge computing, or embedded-device experience is preferred.
Data catalog experience with DataHub, Amundsen, or Databricks Unity Catalog and experience with Databricks or Kubernetes are preferred.
Experience with Bazel, Blaze, C++, Rust, MCAP, ROS, Rerun, or related robot-data and build systems is preferred.
