Software Engineer - Trading Operations in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Own software products from prototype through stable production.
  • Embed with Cumberland Mining trading and operations stakeholders to deliver polished software solutions.
  • Build, maintain, and extend trading applications, data pipelines, and operational solutions.
  • Work across greenfield and legacy systems using Java and Python.
  • Provide on-call support as needed.
  • Collaborate with traders, researchers, software engineers, stakeholders, and senior management across London, Singapore, and Chicago.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of enterprise software engineering experience involving Git, Python or Java, and Linux.
  • Two to three years of experience in front-office, middle-office, back-office, or risk-management roles involving exchange-traded and OTC products is strongly preferred.
  • Substantial prior interaction with front-office teams and senior management in an active trading environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or materially equivalent experience.
  • Strong enterprise-scale software engineering and dynamic software project delivery experience.
  • Ability to work comfortably in multiple programming languages is preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, independent problem-solving, and solution implementation skills.
