Responsibilities

Implement and deploy core real-time image-processing software for infrared imaging systems.
Configure Linux-based operating systems and develop terminal-based software.
Learn and implement Nix and NixOS for embedded systems.
Develop real-time, high-bandwidth processing pipelines in C++ and/or CUDA.
Define and implement software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop test and simulation environments.
Support system delivery from initial design through manufacturing, deployment, and sustainment.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on complex technical problems.

Requirements

5+ years of professional C++ software development experience, including tools such as Git, Jira, and CI/CD systems.
Experience developing low-latency, high-throughput software on Linux-based systems with knowledge of system utilities and basic configuration.
Familiarity with graphics programming or image processing.
Experience testing and debugging firmware on hardware platforms.
Experience with software infrastructure fundamentals including networking, security, and distributed systems.
Ability to learn and implement new technologies and frameworks quickly.
Ability to communicate ideas clearly and produce detailed technical documentation.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance.
Preferred: Linux operating-system configuration and Linux kernel development experience.
Preferred: experience with programming languages such as C, Rust, and Python.
Preferred: connectivity and high-performance networking software development experience.
Preferred: Nix/NixOS experience and an active Secret U.S. security clearance.
