Responsibilities

  • Design and implement UI components for charting, forms, mapping controls, smart mapping, data management, and analysis tools.
  • Ensure components meet accessibility, internationalization, and localization requirements.
  • Lead public API design and documentation and advise on software architecture and engineering.
  • Promote software engineering practices including test automation, modularization, and simplification.
  • Evolve and maintain the build process, test automation infrastructure, and custom tooling.
  • Interact with users to identify and articulate their needs and research state-of-the-art UX practices.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of practical software development experience.
  • Excellent programming skills in a modern programming language and a strong background in software design and architecture.
  • Strong creative thinking, communication, and teamwork skills for a fast-paced environment with frequent releases.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or a related field.
  • Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, JavaScript or TypeScript experience, web components, virtual DOM or reactive UI patterns, CSS post-processing, accessibility, internationalization, API design, and familiarity with GIS applications and technologies.
