Responsibilities

Design, implement, and own data-intensive, high-performance, scalable platform components.
Collaborate with engineering teams, architects, and cross-functional partners on project design and implementation.
Conduct and participate in design reviews, code reviews, analysis, and performance tuning.
Coach and mentor engineers to help scale the engineering organization.
Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
Build, deploy, and optimize streaming infrastructure and systems supporting analytics and machine learning.

Requirements

At least 4 years of software development experience.
Proficiency in at least one programming language and comfort with multiple backend languages, preferably Java or TypeScript, Ruby, GoLang, or Python.
Experience with at least one database technology, such as MySQL, Redis, or PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of computer science fundamentals and strong API design skills.
Ability to work effectively on a geographically distributed team with ownership, accountability, attention to detail, and customer focus.
Track record of delivering work incrementally, gathering feedback, and iterating on solutions.
Comfort with React or similar frontend UI stacks, or willingness to learn.
Preferred experience includes Kinesis, Kafka, Flink, Spark, Beam, Snowflake, Hadoop, Kubernetes, or Mesos.
Preferred experience includes security, encryption, identity management, authentication infrastructure, major public cloud providers, large-scale data integration, batch and online systems, or distributed systems.
