Responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain security reference architectures and patterns for platform and AI components.
  • Design identity, authorization, tenant-isolation, and service-to-service trust controls, including for AI agents and analyst workflows.
  • Develop encryption, BYOK, key-custody, and cryptographic architectures, including migration from legacy HSM designs to Vault.
  • Design AI guardrails covering input and output controls, tool and authorization boundaries, prompt injection, and abuse defenses.
  • Lead threat modeling for high-risk systems and convert findings into prioritized design changes.
  • Support external assessments by preparing architecture evidence, joining discovery sessions, and verifying implementation against documentation.
  • Improve software supply-chain integrity, provenance, image hardening, and attack-surface reduction.
  • Write and review designs and prototypes, test security work, mentor engineers, and contribute to standards and enforceable guidance.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in secure software architecture with depth in at least two of cryptography and key management, identity and authorization, tenant isolation, and threat modeling.
  • Working understanding of AI and ML security, including how LLM-driven features affect identity, authorization, supply chain, and verification.
  • Ability to design and review real systems and defend architectural decisions to experienced engineers.
  • Record of influencing engineers without formal authority when security risk conflicts with delivery pressure.
  • Experience with enterprise-scale SaaS or cloud-first systems, ideally in multi-tenant environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining architecture to engineers, leadership, and customers.
  • Preferred: experience with Vault, KMS/HSM, BYOK/HYOK designs, regulated environments such as FedRAMP, NIST, ISO, or OWASP contributions, talks, published research, or offensive security work.
