Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, Startpage in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and ship features end to end from APIs and data models through to the UI.
  • Use agentic coding tools with evaluations, guardrails, multi-agent workflows, and critical code review.
  • Turn product prototypes into production code and provide implementation feedback.
  • Own production services on Kubernetes, including deployments, monitoring, on-call responsibilities, latency, and uptime targets.
  • Drive architecture decisions and technical-debt reduction.
  • Protect user privacy through minimal tracking, data retention, and third-party query-sharing practices.
  • Instrument features, analyze results in Sigma and Snowflake, and propose data-driven iterations.
  • Work with external partners and agencies to keep web and app experiences consistent.
  • Write clear tickets, pull requests, and design notes, and review teammates’ work.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional web development experience owning frontend and backend systems in production.
  • Daily hands-on experience with agentic coding tools, including agent loops, evaluations, and multi-agent workflows.
  • Strong Python plus JavaScript or TypeScript, React, modern CSS, and HTML skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Redis.
  • Experience with CI/CD, monitoring tools, AWS or a comparable cloud platform, and production on-call responsibilities.
  • Solid automated testing practices and SQL fluency.
  • Ability to measure feature performance and understand the impact of latency regressions.
  • Clear written communication with distributed teams and outside vendors.
