Responsibilities

Advise feature teams on application security throughout conception, implementation, release, and operations.
Develop and maintain cross-team security mechanisms for the web application.
Assess application vulnerabilities and prepare clear, actionable security recommendations.
Create threat models and identify potential threats from an adversarial perspective.
Automate suitable security tasks using Bash, Python, or other necessary tools.
Communicate vulnerabilities and security recommendations clearly to feature teams.

Requirements

Good knowledge and extensive experience in web application and cloud security, preferably with AWS.
Understanding of securely configuring, building, and releasing modern web applications, including IaC, CI/CD, and SDLC practices.
Knowledge of Java web applications and JavaScript/TypeScript web clients.
Understanding of dependency management tools such as NPM and Gradle.
Development experience and the ability to determine when tasks should be automated.
Knowledge of threat modeling and vulnerability assessment.
Incident response experience is a plus.
Very good German language skills at least at C2 level and very good English skills.
