UI Software Engineer in Canada

Responsibilities

  • Develop and extend offline and online game features.
  • Implement feature logic, game flows, and user interface screens.
  • Monitor and address feature performance and stability impacts.
  • Collaborate with designers to gather requirements and propose technical solutions.
  • Support functionality across platforms with multiple input types and display sizes.
  • Update technologies, tools, and frameworks for different platforms.
  • Optimize features for performance across different hardware.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to rapidly prototype, accelerate execution, and automate workflows while validating generated code.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency in software engineering principles and architectural design.
  • Proficiency in testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Experience developing user interfaces across multiple platforms and display sizes.
  • Experience with multi-threaded applications and data-driven, object-oriented design.
  • Knowledge of design patterns such as MVVM.
  • At least 3 years of C++ software development experience.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as coding agents and the ability to critically review generated code.
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent training and professional experience, is a bonus.
  • Experience with large-scale game engines and familiarity with scripting languages are bonuses.
  • Familiarity with applying AI to software development is a bonus.
