Responsibilities

  • Build and operate scalable software applications, platforms, data solutions, models, and analytics supporting Core business functions.
  • Translate business needs into process workflows, data requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs.
  • Manage the end-to-end systems development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, coding, testing, UAT, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Develop data solutions involving data modeling, data curation, data quality, warehousing, ETL/ELT, analytics, and domain modeling.
  • Increase automation and modernize and consolidate software stacks using emerging technologies as appropriate.
  • Build relationships with business partners and engage stakeholders on functional requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 8 years of relevant software development experience, including data structures, algorithms, software design, core programming concepts, and continuous delivery and deployment.
  • Strong programming experience in at least one language such as Java, Python, or C++.
  • Knowledge of relational and columnar SQL databases, including database design.
  • Hands-on experience delivering data solutions using ETL/ELT and domain modeling.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
  • Preferred experience delivering solutions on Databricks, Snowflake, Amazon EMR, Amazon Athena for Apache Spark, AWS Glue, or dbt.
  • Preferred experience directly managing software engineers and related functions.
  • Preferred experience in financial services and with front-office, Controllers, Finance, or Accounting users.
  • Preferred experience with semantic-layer ecosystems such as FINOS Legend, Cube Core, dbt Semantic Layer, LookML, or Malloy.
  • Preferred experience with data catalog platforms such as Unity Catalog, Open Catalog, or Apache Polaris.
