Responsibilities

  • Build scalable data pipelines and systems that ingest, process, and index large volumes of documents and data.
  • Develop, test, measure, and maintain reliable backend APIs, services, and workflows.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to improve application efficiency and reliability.
  • Lead improvements to development practices, including code reviews, testing, observability, documentation, and engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with malware reverse engineering specialists to enhance threat detection capabilities.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience as a backend developer or in a similar professional role.
  • Proficiency in Python, PostgreSQL, Redis, and distributed task queue systems.
  • Strong understanding of backend databases, data storage, and RESTful API design and development.
  • Expertise in relational database design, implementation, SQL query optimization, and reporting.
  • Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions.
  • Preferred: experience with AI technologies and LLM workflows for backend data processing and threat detection.
  • Preferred: experience building engineering solutions for malware automation and threat detection.
  • Preferred: expertise in Django internals, Kubernetes containerization, and full-text search engines such as Elasticsearch, Meilisearch, or Typesense.
