Staff Software Engineer, Security Platform in Remote

Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop security platform capabilities for critical security, compliance, and privacy use cases.
  • Build new production services using Golang and Java.
  • Design, scale, maintain, deploy, operate, and diagnose backend systems using modern cloud technology.
  • Define strategic technical roadmaps and translate product and technical vision into quarterly plans.
  • Review feature designs and cross-cutting company projects for security, safety, scalability, operational integrity, and architectural clarity.
  • Manage technical priorities, project deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Mentor and train team members on design techniques and coding standards.
  • Debug difficult technical problems and write high-quality, well-tested code.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of software engineering experience.
  • Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services.
  • Knowledge of composing service-oriented architectures.
  • Strong technical skills in system design and coding.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for building an open financial system.
  • Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
