Staff Software Engineer, Mobile (P4) in Canada new

Responsibilities

  • Build and own mobile SDKs for identity, authentication, device-signal collection, and fraud detection.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to set direction and deliver customer-facing roadmap features.
  • Collaborate across Twilio and Stytch teams on architecture, platform integration, and cross-team initiatives.
  • Author design documents, drive technical decisions, review code, and maintain deep ownership of shipped systems.
  • Improve production quality and resilience through observability, incident response, and remediation.
  • Mentor engineers through pairing, feedback, and knowledge-sharing.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional mobile engineering experience designing, building, and maintaining mobile applications.
  • Android development experience with fluency in Kotlin or Java.
  • Expertise with mobile development ecosystems, frameworks, and third-party libraries.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering practices including monitoring, observability, and maintainable systems.
  • Experience making high-impact technical decisions and leading technical initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related industry experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-alignment skills.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours, including an on-call rotation on weekends and holidays.
  • Preferred: iOS development, Kotlin Multiplatform, C++, Swift, Go, developer tools or SDKs, and hands-on builder experience.
