Responsibilities

Own the architecture of Reddit’s iOS mobile application and help it scale to the next 100 million or more daily active users.
Identify architectural gaps and lead iOS platform redesigns to improve modularity, performance, and quality.
Build agentic workflows to accelerate migrations across a multi-million-line code repository.
Establish iOS development standards, best practices, technology selections, and design patterns across Reddit.
Mentor iOS developers across the company and serve as the go-to person for complex iOS development problems.
Influence technical direction and collaborate with design, product, and data teams to deliver strong user experiences.

Requirements

10+ years of software development experience, including at least 5+ years designing and developing iOS applications.
Deep experience building mobile applications at scale and developing scalable, well-designed software.
Experience influencing organizations of 100+ engineers on iOS technical direction and best practices.
Experience with modern iOS development frameworks such as Swift UI and structured Concurrency.
Strategic thinking and experience establishing long-term technical foundations.
Experience working cross-functionally with design, product, and data teams.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent technical expertise.

Salary: $217k - $304k/yr
