Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to iOS development for Premium subscription acquisition, retention, management, paywalls, upsell opportunities, and promotional offers.
  • Research and implement high-quality technical solutions that support business goals and benefit the growing user base.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional peers and build relationships with Android, Web, Backend, and Infrastructure teams.
  • Lead or support growth experiments and A/B tests while balancing rapid experimentation with application stability.
  • Provide technical thought leadership on design, testing, security, deployment, and iOS engineering best practices.
  • Coach and mentor team members to increase overall team effectiveness.
  • Improve Premium enablement throughout the app so other teams can work within the Premium ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of iOS engineering experience.
  • Actively contributed to and published iOS applications.
  • Mastery of Objective-C and Swift.
  • Mastery of iOS app-building frameworks including UIKit and Foundation.
  • Extensive experience writing unit tests and testable code.
  • Extensive experience refactoring architectural patterns.
  • Experience with multithreaded programming and relational databases.
  • Experience automating the build and publication of iOS applications.
  • Preferred: experience with payments infrastructure or AppStore Connect.
  • Preferred: experience with XP, pair programming, mob programming, TDD, BDD, or other collaborative and self-verifying development practices.
  • Preferred: experience migrating large legacy codebases to modern standards and migrating from Objective-C to Swift.
  • Preferred: experience contributing to Android, Web, or Backend applications.
