Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture of scalable, maintainable, and performant frontend solutions for pharmacy and fulfillment operations.
  • Define and execute a multi-quarter frontend architecture roadmap and establish common frameworks, patterns, coding standards, and best practices.
  • Mentor frontend engineers through pair programming, technical documentation, design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Reduce technical debt, improve workflow efficiency, and implement monitoring, incident response, and performance optimization processes.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and engineering leaders to deliver intuitive, safe, reliable, scalable, and adaptable platform experiences.
  • Guide responsible adoption of AI tools in software development while maintaining patient safety, quality, and maintainability.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of setting frontend technical direction across multiple teams.
  • Experience building scalable web applications and services, preferably in a cloud environment.
  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks including React, React Native, Next.js, and TypeScript.
  • Experience with Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, Datadog, GitHub Actions, and CircleCI.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools in engineering workflows with sound judgment about their appropriate use.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, collaboration, prioritization, and strategic execution skills.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple projects and influence decisions through clear reasoning.
  • Preferred qualities include comfort with ambiguity, cross-team trust building, empathetic feedback, customer-centric design, accountability, proactive risk identification, continuous improvement, and innovation.

Salary: $190k - $230k/yr
