Responsibilities

Own the technical architecture and design decisions for distributed crypto and fiat fund movement systems.
Lead complex cross-team engineering initiatives with Payments, Trading, and product engineering teams.
Drive backend infrastructure evolution, scalability improvements, and proactive resolution of scaling bottlenecks.
Establish engineering standards, code review practices, and architectural patterns to improve quality and reduce operational risk.
Mentor engineers across levels on system design, distributed systems, and production service development.

Requirements

At least 8 years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
Deep backend programming expertise in one or more of Go, Ruby, Python, or Java.
Experience designing highly available, high-throughput systems where correctness is critical.
Track record delivering and scaling financial systems, fund movement platforms, or similarly high-reliability systems with transaction integrity, idempotency, and auditability requirements.
Experience leading cross-functional technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and translating distributed systems problems into architectural decisions and roadmaps.
Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
