Responsibilities

Architect and scale high-throughput data processing pipelines and serving infrastructure for real-time ad delivery.
Engineer a next-generation data platform with self-service capabilities for deploying data into production.
Translate complex advertising logic and business strategy into highly distributed, efficient, and resilient system architectures.
Build and maintain scalable, highly available, low-latency distributed systems for Coupang Ads.
Lead projects involving large-scale data-serving platforms and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a closely related field.
Six years of backend software development experience.
Experience with cloud environments, particularly AWS, and highly available distributed systems.
Experience building advertising-serving systems and highly scalable, low-latency services.
Experience leading a project to build a large-scale data-serving platform.
Proficiency in Java and the Spring Framework.
Ability to design multi-threaded or multi-process distributed systems and lead cross-functional work.
Preferred experience with advertising systems, search advertising, advertising marketplaces, display advertising, or ad servers.
Preferred experience with Spark, Hive, Redis, and Kafka.
Strong communication, ownership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
