Staff Software Development Engineer: GPU in USA

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize GPU/CPU software for computer vision, image processing, and video processing workloads.
  • Validate new software features before releasing them to customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust software and maximize AMD hardware performance.
  • Debug and resolve complex software issues across multiple layers of the stack.
  • Apply software engineering methodologies and AI tools to produce robust, maintainable code.
  • Develop technical relationships with peers and partners and work with development teams and Project Managers to drive results.
  • Develop unit and integration tests using GoogleTest and automate test execution through Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Perform quality engineering, testing, and debugging of end-to-end computer vision workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer/software engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
  • Deep computer vision domain expertise and experience with quality engineering, integration testing, and software validation.
  • Experience with video codecs, image processing, and machine learning frameworks.
  • Familiarity with OpenCV, FFmpeg, OpenVX, HIP, CUDA, ROCm, or similar heterogeneous computing platforms.
  • Experience with open-source development, Git, and feature tracking software such as Jira.
  • In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies, automated testing frameworks, profiling, debugging, documentation, version control, issue tracking, and planning.
  • Experience testing and debugging end-to-end computer vision workflows.
