Responsibilities

Own the technical direction for networking across data center, cloud, Kubernetes, and edge environments.
Design and automate networking primitives including load balancing, ingress, routing, DNS, BGP peering, and TLS termination.
Lead cross-datacenter resiliency, failover architecture, and scanning-platform reliability across globally distributed data centers.
Own edge protection, including DDoS mitigation, WAF strategy, and traffic engineering for scan and API infrastructure.
Set networking and reliability standards, drive cross-team infrastructure initiatives, and identify architectural improvements and technical debt.
Mentor SRE team members and serve as a senior escalation point for incidents spanning application, Kubernetes, and physical network layers.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in network engineering, SRE, or infrastructure engineering with production networking ownership and cross-team technical leadership.
Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, anycast, DNS, TLS, and load balancing at scale.
Experience building network automation services, health checks, certificate lifecycle management, and traffic-management tooling in Go or Python.
Experience operating hybrid environments across physical data centers and public cloud, including Kubernetes networking.
Fluency with infrastructure-as-code and GitOps workflows using tools such as Terraform, Crossplane, or ArgoCD.
Ability to drive architectural decisions across teams without formal authority through clear written proposals and data.
Strong communication skills for explaining technical incidents and business tradeoffs.
Preferred experience with consumer-scale traffic management, CDN or global anycast footprints, toil automation, internet measurement, scanning infrastructure, security, AI/LLM infrastructure tools, conference talks, open-source contributions, or technical writing.
