Staff Security Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Lead Trust and Safety Intel’s detection and response functions, including preparedness, playbooks, escalation procedures, relationship development, and process improvement.
  • Manage urgent detection and response for critical AI security issues, including business-hours on-call incident management.
  • Develop tools, processes, and signal sources for detecting, enriching, and analyzing security-related issues, especially GenAI risks.
  • Provide security subject-matter expertise and mobilize decision-makers toward systemic risk mitigation and transparency.
  • Coordinate internal and external communications, responsible disclosures, and long-term risk reduction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Eight years of experience with security assessments, security design reviews, or threat modeling.
  • Eight years of experience in security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols.
  • Eight years of coding experience in one or more general-purpose languages.
  • Three years of experience leading teams in a technical capacity or leading technical risk analysis in an enterprise environment.
  • Preferred experience includes application security, network security, incident response, and working with product teams to remediate identified issues.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and attention-to-detail skills.

Benefits

  • US base pay is listed as $207000-$300000 annually, with a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
