Staff Product Engineer - Brand in Canada

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, marketing, and other partners to advance business and engineering platform goals.
  • Identify opportunities and oversee complex multi-phase projects across multiple teams and platforms from concept through implementation.
  • Build features across backend, frontend, and mobile stacks.
  • Optimize web applications for performance, scalability, speed, and code quality.
  • Mentor engineers on technical judgment and product judgment.
  • Support teams at the Brand pillar level on short-term execution and long-term strategy.

Requirements

  • Have 5+ years of experience.
  • Be proficient in at least one of Java, Kotlin, or JavaScript.
  • Be comfortable using agentic coding tools.
  • Be familiar with HTML, CSS, TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
  • Have experience driving product improvements end to end, including determining which problems to solve and how to solve them.
  • Have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Demonstrate strong product sense, curiosity, and interest in using technology to solve real problems.
