Staff iOS Engineer, Trading Tools in USA

Responsibilities

  • Set the technical vision for mobile across iOS and Android while remaining hands-on in iOS.
  • Own the architecture of a scalable iOS application supporting trading, charting, portfolio, watchlist, and stock-detail surfaces.
  • Build modular, extensible mobile components that enable teams to build, test, and ship independently.
  • Align iOS and Android architecture, data contracts, feature parity, and release sequencing.
  • Improve performance, real-time data handling, observability, rendering, launch time, page-load time, and release stability.
  • Lead charting, research, and AI-driven capabilities for active traders on mobile.
  • Guide technical planning, system design reviews, implementation discussions, and incident resolution.
  • Partner with product, design, backend, infrastructure, and data teams on experiments and product releases.
  • Mentor iOS and Android engineers and define engineering standards and documentation.
  • Influence mobile platform direction through collaboration with adjacent organizations and company-wide initiatives.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience developing iOS applications.
  • Extensive experience building and maintaining large-scale applications with Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI.
  • Experience owning the technical direction of a product area or platform.
  • Experience designing scalable mobile architectures, component systems, and testing strategies for data-intensive or real-time use cases.
  • Track record of leading technical initiatives across multiple teams or platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Android development principles.
  • Ability to collaborate with product, design, backend, infrastructure, and data partners.
  • Strong communication skills, including translating complex trading concepts into intuitive mobile experiences.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and fostering engineering excellence.
  • Preferred experience with financial platforms, trading systems, or real-time market data products.
  • Preferred experience with server-driven UI, embedded web or React Native surfaces, live audio/video streaming, or LLM-powered product features.

Salary: $180k - $270k/yr
