Staff Frontend Engineer in Canada

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of complex product features and frontend systems in Angular and React.
  • Partner with backend, integrations, product, design, and QA teams to deliver high-quality user experiences.
  • Architect scalable and reusable frontend patterns that improve product quality and developer velocity.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks, UI architecture issues, and scalability risks.
  • Drive best practices in testing, observability, code quality, and maintainability.
  • Lead technical decision-making and own delivery across large initiatives.
  • Mentor engineers and improve frontend collaboration and craftsmanship across teams.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of frontend engineering experience with deep expertise in Angular and React.
  • Strong command of TypeScript, RxJS, NgRx, and modern frontend architecture patterns.
  • Experience building reusable component systems and scalable frontend applications.
  • Deep knowledge of performance optimization, debugging, and large-scale web applications.
  • Demonstrated success leading major technical initiatives and influencing across teams.
  • Strong product sense, communication, execution, and mentorship skills.
  • Experience creating testing strategies and using unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks such as Jest, Vilest, or Playwright.
