Responsibilities

Develop and execute test cases, regression tests, automated tests, performance validation, and requirements verification across the software development lifecycle.
Document testing activities and maintain software-release approval matrices.
Prepare and manage test environments, including hardware setup, device flashing, software installation, software execution, integration testing, and operational flight testing.
Collaborate with Software Engineers and Software Quality Assurance Engineers to improve software design, testing processes, and software quality.
Track project schedules, identify likely delays or failures, and communicate risks to the Director of Engineering.

Requirements

Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or an equivalent overseas qualification such as NZCE.
Cross-platform testing experience with Windows and Linux.
Proficiency setting up and managing test environments and operating systems.
Ability to analyze and solve complex software engineering problems independently or collaboratively.
Experience working in an Agile software development environment and contributing to software solutions and automation frameworks.
Strong knowledge of fault-tracking systems.
Preferred qualifications include ISTQB accreditation, experience with automated testing tools, Hardware-in-the-Loop and Software-in-the-Loop testing, and testing real-time embedded software systems.
