Responsibilities

  • Define the architecture and implementation of a highly scalable, fault-tolerant durable execution platform.
  • Design for 5–6 nines of availability and address tail latency, distributed state management, edge cases, distributed locking, timers, and deterministic execution.
  • Integrate AI/ML models for predictive scaling, bottleneck detection, intelligent error recovery, and system automation.
  • Build backend infrastructure capable of supporting global-scale traffic and mission-critical workflows.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product teams to deliver infrastructure aligned with business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a closely related field.
  • At least 8 years of backend software development experience.
  • Proficiency in Java and the Spring Framework, plus experience with AWS and highly available distributed systems.
  • Preferred: 12+ years of professional software development experience and experience building backend infrastructure for global-scale traffic.
  • Preferred: experience maintaining systems with 5–6 nines of availability and designing mission-critical databases, messaging queues, or orchestration engines.
  • Preferred: expert-level Java and Python skills, including concurrency and memory management.
  • Preferred: experience or architectural expertise applying AI/ML to system-level automation and operations.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Temporal or Cadence programming models, Kubernetes, containerization, Cassandra, TiDB, distributed tracing, and advanced telemetry.
