Responsibilities

Lead technical improvements to the scalability, quality, accuracy, speed, and efficiency of existing data and ML processes.
Analyze data to support better business and engineering decisions.
Design, build, and test tools, libraries, pipelines, and platforms for production experimentation.
Partner with engineers and product owners to automate large-scale data management, analysis, and ML tasks.
Own and develop end-to-end systems that enable rapid production experimentation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 6+ years in data or ML engineering.
Expertise designing, writing, and maintaining data pipelines and systems while ensuring data quality.
Expertise in SQL, Python3, and a JVM-based language such as Java or Scala.
Expertise in software design, design patterns, best practices, functional programming, and object-oriented programming.
Familiarity with Python3, Scala Spark, Hadoop, SQL, and S3.
Familiarity with machine learning concepts, common models, and statistical analysis concepts.
Preferred qualifications include Hadoop ecosystem and big data architecture experience, Scala/Scala Spark development, Linux systems administration, and experience with test-driven methodologies.
