Sr. Staff Software Development Engineer in Remote

Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop high-quality, scalable, secure software systems, including microservices and REST/gRPC APIs.
  • Lead the design and implementation of distributed systems using messaging, search stores, and cloud storage solutions.
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers to deliver APIs supporting high-performance user interfaces.
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster team growth through knowledge sharing and guidance.
  • Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize services with a DevOps mindset.
  • Drive end-to-end technical execution and delivery of cloud-native solutions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on software application development experience with distributed systems and cloud storage solutions.
  • Proficiency with Java and Spring frameworks, including Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Security.
  • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes containerization.
  • Deep understanding of AWS or GCP cloud platforms.
  • Experience with DataDog, Grafana, or Prometheus observability tools.
  • Expertise across the full Software Development Life Cycle and Git version control.
  • Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions within the functional domain.
  • Preferred experience with AI/ML model inference, AI security controls, automated threat intelligence, SLAs, high availability, disaster recovery, cost optimization, TDD, Agile workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and relational or NoSQL databases.
