Responsibilities

Develop a highly reliable and scalable enterprise data platform for petabyte-scale data ingestion, processing, storage, and querying.
Create end-to-end data pipelines and functionality that improve SpaceX business operations.
Collaborate with peers on architecture, design, and code reviews.
Build prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
Own all aspects of software engineering and product development.
Analyze business problems and apply efficient, first-principles solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or another scientific discipline, or 7+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree.
At least 5 years of experience in full-stack development, software engineering, data engineering, or data science.
Programming experience in Scala, Java, C#, Python, Go, or similar languages.
Preferred frontend experience with Angular, React, or similar JavaScript frameworks.
Preferred experience optimizing in-stream big-data processing and analytics frameworks such as Apache Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
Preferred experience with relational and non-relational databases and data lakes such as Hive, Delta Lake, PostgreSQL, or CockroachDB.
Preferred experience with data exploration tools such as Grafana, Metabase, or Power BI.
Understanding of version control, testing, continuous integration, build, deployment, and monitoring.
Understanding of statistics, machine learning algorithms, and frameworks.
Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when needed.
Must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.

Benefits

Base salary range of $160,000.00-$270,000.00 per year for Level 3.
