Responsibilities

Design and implement highly available, fault-tolerant devices that operate for long periods with minimal maintenance.
Participate in and lead architecture, design, and code reviews.
Identify improvements to product experience, reliability, and efficiency.
Develop prototypes and manage experiments to validate key design concepts.
Write Linux-based software for common processors and microcontrollers.
Develop hardware-in-the-loop testbeds and test cases.
Own the complete software lifecycle, including development, testing, and operational support.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a science discipline.
5+ years of professional software development experience.
Expertise in technologies previously used and the ability to analyze technical issues deeply.
Experience with embedded systems and launching and operating consumer or enterprise products.
Knowledge of networking and the Linux networking stack.
Curiosity, analytical problem-solving ability, strong engineering fundamentals, and effective written and verbal communication.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing needs and requirements.
Must satisfy applicable ITAR authorization requirements or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations.

Benefits

Base salary range is $165,000.00-$270,000.00 annually, with potential stock or long-term cash awards, discretionary bonuses, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Approximately three weeks of paid vacation and 10 or more paid holidays per year.
Washington State employees accrue paid sick time in compliance with state and federal law.
