Sr. Software Engineer in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Build Python FastAPI services, data models, and reusable connectors for Okta, AWS, ServiceNow, and enterprise applications.
  • Implement durable execution, approval waits, rate limiting, duplicate-event handling, and safe retries using Step Functions, SQS, and EventBridge.
  • Manage PostgreSQL schemas, indexes, query performance, pgvector retrieval, and tenant isolation across APIs, storage, and credentials.
  • Build model API access for OpenAI, Anthropic, and supported AWS paths with credential, quota, timeout, and cost controls.
  • Develop analytics pipelines for worker events, traces, tokens, findings, and verified outcomes, evaluating ClickHouse and BigQuery.
  • Create reliable usage records and reconciliation that prevent retries, duplicate findings, and incomplete work from being miscounted.
  • Build deployment pipelines, infrastructure as code, observability, and safe release controls across development, staging, and production.
  • Implement scoped write services, kill switches, audit retention, backup recovery, failure testing, and verification of sensitive changes.

Requirements

  • Experience building and operating production backend or distributed systems, with strong Python or comparable-language coding skills.
  • Hands-on AWS experience with APIs, queues, containers, networking, IAM, and databases.
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills, including database performance diagnosis and asynchronous system failure analysis.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code, deployment automation, observability, and production incident response.
  • Sound judgment regarding customer data, tenant isolation, credentials, and safe changes to external systems.
  • Preferred experience includes ClickHouse, BigQuery or comparable analytics systems, event ingestion, usage metering, multi-tenant SaaS, OAuth, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, enterprise connectors, or agent frameworks such as Claude Agent SDK, Codex SDK, Strands Agents, Deep Agents, or LangGraph.
  • Prior identity experience is optional.

  • Annual base salary range of $165,000—$226,600 USD for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area, excluding equity and bonus.
