Sr Software Development Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and operate scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
  • Own features through design, implementation, production rollout, observability, and operational health.
  • Contribute across the stack by integrating services with frontend workflows and platform teams.
  • Lead or participate in design discussions and make technical trade-offs for owned work.
  • Review requirements, identify gaps, propose simplifications, and help scope and sequence work.
  • Maintain quality through code review, testing, and secure development practices.
  • Investigate and resolve complex bugs and reliability issues.
  • Mentor less-experienced engineers and share cloud-native development practices.

Requirements

  • Strong programming skills in one or more of C#, Go, TypeScript, Java, or similar modern languages.
  • Solid experience designing and building APIs and microservices.
  • Full-stack capability, including backend ownership and the ability to work with modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks without a primary UI focus.
  • Hands-on daily experience with Claude Code or comparable agentic AI coding tools, including critically reviewing generated output.
  • Hands-on AWS experience building and operating production services, including compute, IAM, and managed data stores.
  • Understanding of CI/CD and hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience with tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with data modeling and working with data at scale.
  • Understanding of modern testing and observability practices in cloud environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Preferred experience includes identity security, IAM, NHI or secrets, AWS IAM, Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth, OIDC, event-driven architecture, graph data modeling, analytics at scale, multi-tenant services, and Angular, React, or Vue with TypeScript.
