Responsibilities

Lead complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and engineers to deliver significant business impact.
Set technical direction for critical technical areas so the product and infrastructure can scale.
Design, develop, and own new product functionality and infrastructure using modern frameworks and tooling.
Collaborate with engineers to improve security and trust outcomes for Vanta customers.
Contribute to Vanta’s engineering culture as the company grows.
Support the Integrations Platform mission by developing shared primitives for authentication, lifecycle, observability, and publishing.

Requirements

At least 5 years of industry experience with backend development.
Experience designing, building, and scaling backend systems, APIs, and platform primitives.
Experience serving in technical leadership roles for teams or complex projects.
Previous startup experience or experience in an environment with a bias for action.
Previous experience working on greenfield projects.
Interest in learning about security or prior experience in the security space.
Curiosity and sound judgment in using AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
