Responsibilities

Design, develop, and support software for digital radiography and computed tomography equipment.
Create technical design, implementation, training, presentation, technical report, and patent application materials.
Use Visual Studio, GitHub, coding agents, and issue and task tracking tools to implement software solutions.
Develop and support interfaces for X-ray detectors, X-ray sources, optical cameras, motion components, and robots.
Support engineering and planning activities and complete additional assignments from the supervisor.
Present the internship project and contributions to NSI business leaders at the end of the summer.

Requirements

Be a college junior or senior pursuing an Engineering degree with at least a 3.0 GPA.
Have technical skills in C++, Python, or C# and experience or familiarity with AI agents such as Cursor and Claude.
Have GUI design experience with WinForms or WPF.
Have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Demonstrate eagerness to learn, initiative, leadership, and teamwork experience.
Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Preferred qualifications include GPU programming with CUDA or OpenCL, 3D graphics with OpenGL, image analysis, computer vision, computed tomography, and data science.
