Responsibilities

Participate as an embedded member of the software team in standups, design reviews, and planning.
Own a scoped project through design, implementation, testing, and delivery with mentorship from senior engineers.
Contribute to flight software, simulation, test infrastructure, or internal engineering tools.
Test software on flight computers, embedded microprocessors, and engine hardware.
Write maintainable code and unit and integration tests.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, propulsion, and controls engineers on software requirements.
Debug issues across embedded and real-time systems and present completed work to the team.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in computer science, engineering, math, or a science discipline.
Experience with C++, Rust, Python, or another programming language through coursework, projects, research, or prior internships.
Solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
Familiarity with Git and software testing practices.
Ability to work full-time in person in San Francisco during Summer 2027.
