Responsibilities

  • Build and operate internal platforms and tools that support Datadog products.
  • Develop and manage large cloud infrastructure deployments.
  • Lead reliability efforts for organizations at Datadog-like scale.
  • Build release and developer tooling that enables large engineering organizations to work efficiently.
  • Work with systems including build tooling, container orchestration, service discovery, networking, databases, messaging, and infrastructure automation.

Requirements

  • Deep software engineering experience applied alongside systems experience.
  • Experience building and managing large cloud infrastructure deployments, leading reliability efforts, or building release machinery for large developer organizations.
  • Relevant systems and tooling depth in areas such as Bazel, Cassandra, Chef, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Terraform, or related technologies.
  • Candidates for some departments may need to be eligible for required US government authorizations under export-control regulations.
