Build large-scale backend systems that detect fraudsters using rules and productionized machine learning models.
Collaborate with machine learning engineers, product managers, operations, data scientists, designers, and research partners to identify and prioritize fraud mitigation opportunities.
Build tooling and automation that help operations teams investigate and reduce fraud.
Develop user challenges such as location verification to prevent fraudulent listings while minimizing impact on legitimate users.
Build data pipelines for machine learning and reduce fraud at scale.
Requirements
3+ years of industry experience building systems at scale, with relevant MS or PhD study potentially included in the experience qualification.
Experience building user-facing products or large backend systems.
Experience with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Java, JavaScript, Python, or Scala.
Ability to write high-performance, production-quality code.
Exposure to architectural patterns for large-scale web applications, high-volume data pipelines, well-designed APIs, and efficient algorithms.
Ability to collaborate with design, product, data science, and research partners and communicate with legal and operations stakeholders.
Experience in the Trust and Risk domain is a plus.
