Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate a highly reliable distributed telemetry platform capable of ingesting, processing, storing, and querying petabyte-scale data.
Collaborate with engineers on architecture, system design, and code reviews.
Partner with satellite and rocket teams to translate mission needs into technical solutions.
Own the complete software and hardware stack end to end.
Analyze business problems and apply efficient, first-principles solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or another scientific discipline, or 2+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree.
At least 1 year of experience in full-stack development, software engineering, data engineering, or data science.
Active Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance.
Programming experience in C#, Java, or similar languages is preferred.
Experience with large-scale distributed systems for high-volume data processing and querying is preferred.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments is preferred.
Working knowledge of Linux, version control, testing, CI/CD, deployment, and monitoring systems is preferred.
Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends when needed.
Must meet the stated ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.

Benefits

Base salary is listed at $135,000-$160,000 for Level 1 and $155,000-$195,000 for Level 2.
Active clearance holders may receive a 10% differential, up to an additional $20,000 annually, after being briefed into a classified program.
Benefits include medical, vision, dental, 401(k), disability and life insurance, paid parental leave, stock or stock-option eligibility, potential bonuses, employee stock purchase access, paid vacation, paid holidays, and paid sick leave.
The role may involve pre-employment drug testing and random drug and alcohol testing.
The position requires an active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance and may involve sensitive SpaceX missions.
