Software Engineer Project Intern Security in USA

Responsibilities

  • Design and build experimental prototypes and production-grade systems for AI/agent safety, AI-powered threat detection, and advanced security analytics.
  • Frame hypotheses, design experiments, run evaluations, and iterate from concepts to proofs of concept and early productization.
  • Collaborate with product, platform, and research teams to understand requirements and develop practical security solutions.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Security, AI, or another STEM discipline.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of algorithms, data structures, operating systems, and networking.
  • Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages such as Python, Go, C++, or Java.
  • Experience writing automated tests, performing code reviews, and debugging software.
  • Preferred experience includes AI/agent safety, model evaluation and red teaming, threat intelligence, security analytics, detection engineering, system hardening, or security automation.
  • Preferred candidates demonstrate the ability to use AI to accelerate software development and to solve complex or ambiguous problems independently.
