Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Java and Go.
Build and enhance rich messaging features, including high-throughput message routing and delivery pipelines.
Deploy and support backend services in AWS or equivalent cloud environments while prioritizing reliability, low latency, and fault tolerance.
Integrate AI-assisted development tools such as Claude and Copilot into coding, debugging, and documentation workflows.
Participate in on-call rotations, including weekends and holidays, to maintain critical communications services.
Collaborate asynchronously with distributed engineering teams through clear technical communication.

Requirements

3+ years of hands-on software development experience building backend services in Java or Go.
Experience designing and building production RESTful APIs as a core part of the day-to-day role.
Experience operating distributed systems on cloud infrastructure, with AWS preferred or equivalent Azure/GCP experience.
Hands-on use of AI development tools such as Claude or Copilot.
Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
Ability to participate in on-call rotations, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred experience with NoSQL datastores such as DynamoDB, message queuing such as Simple Queue Service, and containerized applications in Kubernetes.
Prior telecom or rich messaging platform experience, including RCS, SMS/MMS, or OTT messaging, is preferred.
