Software Engineer - Localisation in UK new

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and ship changes across backend services, APIs, and Angular interfaces.
  • Build extensible patterns for regional rules and fiscal compliance across new markets.
  • Lead integration-heavy work with fiscal and certification providers, including contracts, edge cases, failure planning, and provider communication.
  • Collaborate with SRE to monitor performance, identify issues, triage compliance alerts, and fix root causes.
  • Contribute through code reviews, pairing, feedback, and breaking regulatory requirements into shippable work.

Requirements

  • Solid mid-level or senior experience building and shipping full-stack software in a SaaS product company.
  • Deep backend experience with C# and .NET, plus sufficient Angular or TypeScript experience to work across the stack.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud patterns, application performance, and database performance across varying workloads.
  • Experience building detail-sensitive third-party integrations involving payments, tax, invoicing, compliance, or similar systems.
  • Ability to turn vague regulatory requirements, such as country-specific tax rules, into shipped software.
  • Ability to work effectively asynchronously, document clearly, unblock yourself, and work independently.
  • Curiosity about technology and AI, including comfort using AI tools to automate repetitive work.
  • Experience with European fiscal rules or fluency in French or German is advantageous.
