Software Engineer - Kubernetes in USA

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement complex software capabilities for computer-based systems.
  • Build and maintain Java software, enterprise APIs, RESTful web services, microservices, and Kubernetes deployments.
  • Use Kubernetes deployment tools such as Helm and Flux.
  • Troubleshoot software, perform testing, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stay current with emerging software development trends and technologies.
  • Transition between hands-on execution, mentorship, and technical team leadership.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, independently and in team settings, to deliver client solutions.

Requirements

  • At least 9 years of software engineering experience, with the stated education and experience alternatives including a bachelor's degree, master's degree, or high school diploma/equivalent.
  • Strong Java development experience and experience with modern Java frameworks and libraries such as Spring and Guava.
  • Experience building and maintaining Kubernetes deployments using Helm and Flux.
  • Experience designing enterprise APIs, RESTful web services, and microservices architectures.
  • Experience with Linux and configuration management tools such as Git, Nexus, and Maven.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a technical lead, mentor, or manager for engineering teams.
  • U.S. citizenship is required; a current U.S. Government security clearance is desired but not required.
  • Preferred experience includes AWS or Azure, custom Kubernetes operators and CRDs, Go, Python, GitLab CI pipelines, distributed or NoSQL databases, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Solr, scripting, Jira, Confluence, and GitHub Enterprise.
