Software Engineer Internship in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the management and troubleshooting of multiple applications supporting Wellmark’s systems.
  • Work with application operations, technology stakeholders, and business stakeholders to provide production support and investigate the root causes of system errors.
  • Develop application business knowledge to support effective maintenance.
  • Participate in developing complex UI artifacts used by multiple development teams.
  • Maintain documentation and code examples describing usage and best practices.
  • Collaborate with UX designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate user experience throughout the creation process.
  • Work collaboratively with shared code while following source code control and process documentation practices.

Requirements

  • Be a current junior, senior, or master’s student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or a related field.
  • Have experience or knowledge of software development technologies such as Angular, NodeJS, TypeScript, C++, .NET, Java, or SQL.
  • Demonstrate analytical problem-solving, troubleshooting, research, root-cause analysis, and creative technical solution skills.
  • Have strong writing, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Demonstrate computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Be able to work with changing priorities, meet established timeframes with limited direction, and maintain data and information integrity.
  • Preferred: prior office or internship experience and experience with software development lifecycle methodologies.
