Responsibilities

Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, scalable software solutions and production code.
Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
Build and maintain enterprise full-stack Java applications in a large corporate environment.
Use AWS cloud-native technologies, containerization, Terraform, and production deployment practices.
Analyze large and diverse datasets to identify patterns and improve application coding hygiene and system architecture.
Use and validate enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
Guide peers on secure, responsible, and effective use of AI-assisted engineering tools.

Requirements

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Java 17 or later.
Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, operational stability, and Agile SDLC delivery.
Enterprise full-stack Java development experience, including building, debugging, and maintaining applications in a large corporate environment.
Experience developing microservices, containerizing applications, and deploying on AWS EKS or ECS to EC2.
Experience with Terraform and production AWS deployments.
Experience with an RDBMS, preferably Oracle or PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
Preferred: familiarity with modern front-end technologies, cloud technologies, reactive Java, React JS, and Angular.
