Responsibilities

  • Design and build systems that clarify engineering requests, create implementation plans, and enforce approval gates.
  • Develop conversational Slack intake workflows that ask follow-up questions, notify stakeholders, create Jira work, and route requests into delivery workflows.
  • Normalize demand from help desk, Salesforce, operational alerts, and other sources while preserving provenance, urgency, ownership, and customer context.
  • Build tooling for repository discovery, plan execution, automated testing, pull request creation, and change summaries.
  • Contribute to automated pull request review for correctness, regressions, coverage, maintainability, and policy concerns while retaining human merge approval.
  • Build dependable agentic platform capabilities including permissions, auditability, evaluation, observability, rollback, and cost controls.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools, collaborate cross-functionally, write tested code, participate in code reviews, and troubleshoot distributed systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3–5 years of backend software development experience with strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and React.js.
  • Experience designing and troubleshooting distributed systems and designing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
  • Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases, including tools such as MongoDB.
  • Familiarity integrating third-party APIs such as Jira, Slack, and Salesforce.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Preferred: a master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering; experience with LLM-based or agentic systems, AI-assisted development tools, internal developer productivity platforms, Node.js or Java backend development, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and observability or monitoring practices.

Salary: $112k - $176k/yr
