Software Engineer II, Streaming Foundations in Canada

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the team’s technical direction and roadmap for platform streaming capabilities.
  • Design and implement high-impact systems while owning features end-to-end from design through delivery.
  • Participate in architectural discussions focused on technical challenges, scalability, and platform evolution.
  • Collaborate with engineers across teams on cross-functional projects.
  • Improve system observability, reliability, scalability, and operational practices while sharing knowledge with teammates.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of full-time software development experience.
  • Hands-on experience developing and tuning highly scalable, event-driven systems.
  • Solid understanding of database fundamentals and experience with event streaming technologies such as Kafka.
  • Experience with Golang or Java is preferred.
  • Experience with TypeScript and React is an additional advantage.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker is an additional advantage.
  • Interest or familiarity in the Identity and Access Management domain is an additional advantage.
