Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain ServiceNow applications, automations, and workflows.
  • Maintain ServiceNow integrations with external systems using REST APIs and IntegrationHub/spokes.
  • Refine requirements, assess dependencies and impacts, and collaborate with business and technical teams.
  • Develop features and improve existing workflows.
  • Investigate incidents and integration failures, identify root causes, and implement fixes.
  • Document configurations, customizations, integrations, and technical decisions.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback according to team standards.

Requirements

  • Approximately one year or more of practical ServiceNow development experience and a solid JavaScript foundation.
  • Experience with Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, GlideRecord, and GlideAjax.
  • Experience creating Flow Designer automations and choosing between flows and scripts.
  • Experience consuming REST APIs and maintaining integrations, including IntegrationHub and spokes.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow data modeling, including tables, fields, references, dot-walking, and table extension.
  • Knowledge of ITSM modules including Incident, Request, Change, and Problem, plus Service Catalog configuration.
  • Knowledge of platform security concepts including roles, groups, and ACLs.
  • Experience using Update Sets and troubleshooting through system logs and Background Scripts.
  • Preferred qualifications include ServiceNow CSA or CAD certifications, Scripted REST APIs, Custom Applications, application scopes, Service Portal, Employee Center, HTML, CSS, Python, and interest in Now Assist or AI Agents.
