Responsibilities

Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot secure, stable, and scalable software solutions with limited guidance.
Build and own an agentic production data platform and full-stack applications.
Develop AI agents and MCP servers using Claude Code to improve application and platform autonomy.
Apply LLM application capabilities including RAG, embeddings, prompt or configuration management, evaluation, guardrails, and agent tool or function calling.
Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify problems and support decision-making.
Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation tools while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding practices.
Consider upstream and downstream systems, technical implications, resiliency, data sensitivity, and secure handling of inputs and outputs.

Requirements

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 2 years of applied experience.
Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs.
Frontend experience with React or Angular and TypeScript.
Backend experience with Python, Java, or Kotlin and REST or GraphQL.
Data engineering or platform experience with Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Snowflake, and AWS.
Experience with platform engineering practices involving containers, CI/CD, observability, and controlled release practices.
Understanding of responsible AI use, secure engineering, resiliency, and security expectations.
Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree is a plus.
Preferred experience includes financial services or wealth management, data governance or data management, and evaluating and enterprise-hardening open-source software.
