Responsibilities

  • Build backend services and web interfaces for XM Directory.
  • Implement features and fix bugs with guidance from teammates, including using AI-assisted tools.
  • Work with senior engineers to break down requirements and validate implementations.
  • Write well-tested code, review work carefully, and participate in code reviews.
  • Learn the codebase and development tools while asking questions and seeking guidance when blocked.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and cross-functional teammates in agile practices.
  • Help build scalable data, storage, computation, and serving layers for stakeholder data and AI-powered experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Prior software engineering experience through internships, co-ops, academic coursework, or personal/open-source projects.
  • Strong foundations in algorithms, data structures, coding, and clean coding principles.
  • Exposure to web infrastructure and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity or experience with modern developer tools, Git, unit testing, and continuous deployment concepts.
  • Strong communication, analytical problem-solving, teamwork, initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn and accept guidance.
