Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, development, and operation of core data platform components.
  • Build tools and services that help engineering and data science teams adopt and scale data systems.
  • Automate infrastructure and operations to improve reliability, performance, and scalability.
  • Apply GenAI techniques to create smarter developer and operator experiences.
  • Collaborate across engineering teams on scalability and reliability challenges.
  • Own projects and deliver features end-to-end with guidance from senior engineers.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of professional software engineering experience, preferably in backend engineering, distributed systems, or infrastructure.
  • Programming proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar language; school, personal, or work experience counts.
  • Strong fundamentals in data structures, clean code, testing, and debugging.
  • Interest in learning AWS, Databricks, databases, streaming, orchestration, and related data platform technologies.
  • Curiosity, problem-solving ability, willingness to ask questions, independence, teamwork, and strong communication skills.
  • Preferred experience with Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, AWS, GCP, Azure, or large-scale data-intensive systems.
